01 · The Brand

Custom jackets made for one person

Alex Rose runs a bespoke tailoring house in London. Custom jackets, made to order, every piece cut specifically for one person. It is the purest kind of business where the customer is buying something that does not exist yet.

02 · The Problem

Bespoke has a harder version of the e-commerce problem

In bespoke tailoring, there is no product photograph because the garment has not been made. The customer is asked to commit to a garment, a cloth, and a cut on the strength of a description and their own imagination.

That is a great deal of friction to put in front of someone before they have spent anything. It also slowed every conversation that followed, because the gap between what the customer pictured and what the tailor understood only closed through extensive, slow back-and-forth communication.

03 · What They Did

Deploying LookCheck online

Alex Rose integrated LookCheck directly into his digital consultation and online storefront, running it continuously for over a year — making it our longest continuous commercial deployment.

04 · What Changed

Why delivery time dropped by a week

The delivery figure is the one worth sitting with. Showing the customer the garment photorealistically on themselves before it is cut removes an entire round of clarification that previously took place after the order was placed. That is why the time saving showed up in production and workshop throughput rather than solely in marketing.

“Rendream's LookCheck has elevated the client experience for my bespoke tailoring business. The technology is precise, seamless, and reflects our premium standards, while the team's support has been outstanding. Highly recommended.”

Why bespoke tailoring made it work

In ready-to-wear, a try-on render competes with a model photograph. In bespoke tailoring, there is no photo, so the render is the first time the client sees what they are buying. That difference explains why the magnitude of the revenue multiple was so substantial. But the principle applies everywhere: the closer a shopper gets to visualizing an item on themselves, the faster they commit and the less they return.

Alex Rose uses LookCheck online on his storefront: visual try-on only, not sizing.
